Research Survey Opportunity

My name is Hayley Haynes, and I am a clinical psychology doctorate student at Marshall University. I am conducting research on impostor phenomenon experiences among first-generation, Appalachian college students under the supervision of Marianna Linz, Ph.D. I am recruiting participants from undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs who are first-generation, non-first-generation, Appalachian, and non-Appalachian. Institute of Politics Internship and Seminar

In this interdisciplinary program, students are placed with a local, state, or federal elected official who makes policy decisions for the Wester PA region. The accompanying weekly seminar, taught by experienced government affairs professionals, teaches students about the historical, economic, and social background of Western Pennsylvania, so students can consider the various factors that influence decision makers. The program is open to any major, and participating students receive four credits in either Political Science or Public Service. Students from Allegheny and surrounding counties are eligible for the Fulton Award, a $2,000 scholarship to pay for expenses during the program semester. Full-time Clinical Research Coordinators

Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and assist with NIMH- and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention-funded studies aimed at improving short-term risk prediction for suicidal behavior in adolescents. Studies assessing proximal risk for suicidal behavior use computational methods to model neurocognitive markers and/or ambulatory indices (i.e., mobile technology including actigraphy, passive sensing of physiological arousal, passive sensing of social engagement and physical activity, and ecological momentary assessment) in psychiatrically hospitalized youth. Additional studies focus on employing computer vision to identify visual indicators of suicide risk among adolescents. An additional study aims to examine how parent-child stress interactions may be associated with or protect against suicide risk in adolescents using automatic sensing of acoustic and visual behaviors.Our most recently funded NIMH study NIMH aims to develop machine learning algorithms with electronic health record data for the prospective prediction of suicide risk among racial, ethnic, and linguistic minority youth.

Clinical research coordinators who demonstrate potential and excel in this position often have opportunities to receive mentorship on conducting independent research projects and grant-writing. Community Monitoring Specialist Butler, PA - The Community Monitoring Specialist works with adults and juveniles that have been placed on electronic monitoring, alcohol monitoring or drug screening as a condition of their probation and will be responsible for communicating with the adult and juvenile participants in regards to coordinating hook-ups, schedules, conditions of the program, and assisting participants in accessing community resources.

  • This position pays $19.00-$19.50 hourly based on education and experience and offers full benefits, paid time off, paid sick time, paid mileage reimbursement and access to agency vehicles, up to a $2000 new hire incentive bonus and the opportunity for overtime. This position also offers on-call pay at $80.00 per night with on-call rotation every 5 to 6 weeks with a 5 team member rotation.
