We hope this quick rundown keeps you in the loop with the latest and greatest news from HR. On June 24, 2024, employees from across Pitt’s campuses gathered for the 35th annual Chancellor’s Staff Recognition Ceremony. This event recognized Staff employees celebrating milestone service anniversaries of 20, 30, and 40 years. The ceremony featured remarks by Chancellor Joan Gabel and Vice Chancellor for Human Resources James Gallaher, pictured above. Representatives from Staff Council also presented various non-service awards. Following the ceremony, the University welcomed honorees and their guests to a reception in their honor as a token of appreciation for their commitment to Pitt. Congratulations to all our honorees who were recognized at the event! If you happened to get injured while at work, make sure to report it immediately following the steps below. Failure to do so can lead to delay or denial of benefits. Immediately report the work-related injury/illness: Medical care must be supplied by a designated provider. The list of providers for each campus location can be found on this webpage. 3. Emergency Medical Care: In case of an emergency, you may seek treatment at the closest Emergency Department for your initial care, but additional medical treatment must be obtained by one of the providers listed on the webpage above. Employees who experience lab animal related bites or exposure to bloodborne pathogens should receive immediate attention from the MyHealth@Work clinic or Presbyterian University Hospital.
