Welcome to SIAA's round-up of this month's impact and effectiveness news. You can take a look at the latest list of SIAA members here.

New resources online include:

• A report on SIAA and Philanthropy Ireland's event on social impact in the Irish voluntary sector, held on 25 May in central Dublin. We'll be working with Philanthropy Ireland to build an Irish impact user group.

• SIAA held a roundtable with HACT on the challenges of demonstrating social value in the housing sector. An event report and evaluation will be available on our blog soon. 

• SIAA member The Research Institute for Nonprofit Organisations, based at the Vienna University of Economics an Business, have shared a number of SROI case studies and English-language executive summaries.  

Keep an eye out for upcoming events and networking opportunities, including SIAA's social value commissioning breakfast, to be held in London on 3rd July in partnership with UK thinktank the New Local Government Network.

We're also partnering with EBD Group on 'Partnering for Global Impact' in Lugano on 9-10 July. SIAA members are entitled to a small discount on attendance - contact us to obtain your discount code.

Finally, we'll be announcing autumn events in Paris, New York and Budapest, as well as SIAA's annual conference in Berlin, in next month's newsletter.

Newly published reports and other resources include:

• The New Economics Foundation's new impact investing report, on how tread the line between making money and creating impact; 
• The Institute for Development Studies' report on measuring the inclusivity of inclusive business.

Impact-focused events and takeways include: 

• The very exciting looking IIx and Shujog Impact Forum, which take places in Singapore on 25-26 June;
• Two seminars hosted by SIAA member Nexii in July on 'Understanding GIIRS Ratings & Analytics;
• A Euro-Money philanthropy debate on impact investing with speakers from Rockefeller Foundation, Morgan Stanley, Social Finance Inc. and others. Transcript here and videos here;
• The Social Impact Exchange blogged highlights from its conference on 'Scaling Social Impact' in New York earlier in June.

New social funding announced this month:

• Social Finance will launch three new social impact bonds next year, backed by Big Lottery Fund;
• The Social Investment Business has announced two new rounds of social sector funding - £19m for health social enterprise and £2.5m for community organisations.

Tamzin Ractliffe is the founder CEO of Nexii, a social enterprise with a mission to support the flow of capital to impact. Nexii – derived from “nexus for impact investing” – aims to make impact investing a reality at scale.   

Nexii has established the world’s first publically regulated Impact Investment Exchange Board, the iX. In addition to the iX and in recognition of the different stages of high impact investment opportunities, Nexii has also established the Impact Capital Platforms (iC) including a regulated private placement capital marketplace with European Union approval.

Nexii is looking for individuals and companies to join their global network of Authorised Impact Representatives. Nexii is also hosting a series of webinars; sign up to Nexii’s mailing list to be kept informed. Lastly, if you’re a social enterprise, participate in Nexii’s corporate structure survey to help better cater for social enterprises in South Africa and beyond.
