Statistics show that First Nations communities in Calgary are much more likely than non-Aboriginal groups to be living in poverty. How can Calgary’s business community partner together to create employment opportunities, and help alleviate poverty amongst Calgary’s urban First Nations communities?

In his first appearance in Calgary after the long awaited release of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s report, the Calgary Chamber in partnership with the RESOLVE Campaign are hosting National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, Perry Bellegarde.

Join us for this timely conversation on building partnerships for economic growth with First Nations communities.

However, we can glean some valuable takeaways from the frameworks that have worked around the world.

Read our latest policy report unpacking the benefits and challenges of four cities' innovative infrastructure financing models.
