ED More Prevalent Among Men With HIV Infection

Men infected with HIV are more likely to have erectile dysfunction (ED) than uninfected men, according to a report published recently in the Journal of Sexual Medicine

European researchers found that this prevalence applies to mild, moderate, and severe ED and affects HIV-infected men of all ages.

For example, only 8% of HIV-uninfected study participants age 30 and under experienced ED. But for HIV-infected participants in the same age group, this number was 50%.

For the age 51-60 group, these rates were 6% for men without HIV and 70% for HIV-infected men.
