Endocrinologist Dr Shalini Mohan welcomed by GSSC Endocrinologist Dr Shalini Mohan joins GSSCWelcome to our newest specialist to join the team Endocrinologist Dr Shalini Mohan. Dr Mohan will be providing specialist endocrine services to the Great Southern community via fortnightly Telehealth sessions. With a general interest in general endocrinology including adult diabetes, Dr Mohan also has an interest in thyroid and pituitary diseases and enjoys presenting on these topics. Originally from Malaysia, Dr Mohan obtained her MBChB from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, working there for a year before moving to Perth. She then undertook basic physician training in Perth and passed her FRACP exams in 2012. Dr Mohan went on to undertake advanced training in Endocrinology at Royal Perth Hospital, Fremantle Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and was awarded the Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians in 2017. Dr Mohan is currently consulting privately (part time) at SJOG Murdoch Hospital. Outside of her medical work, she is married with two sons who keep her on her toes, and she loves travelling having travelled extensively throughout Europe. Dr Mohan’s professional affiliations include the Endocrine Society of Australia, Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Endocrine Society United States.
