This time the event was held in Fukuoka City, and included five international teams as well as a Japan A and Japan B team. Junior Black Fins Finalise Management TeamSLSNZ is pleased to announced the appointment of Byron Reid as the Junior Black Fins Team Manager. Byron has a long association with Surf Life Saving, having held multiple roles with New Plymouth Old Boys & Fitzroys clubs. The SLSNZ Pool Rescue Championships are scheduled to take place at the Sir Owen Glenn National Aquatic Centre from Friday 11 - Sunday 13 October 2019. This event serves as an important development event for our Surf Lifeguards and aspiring Surf Lifeguards, as they continue to develop important lifesaving skills for the season ahead. If you have not already considered participating in this unique and iconic event, it's not too late to start training. Just contact your local club coach or regional sport manager for guidance. The Surf Boats community will continue to support all other club-run events including the Whangamata Spectacular, North Island Champs (Waihi) and Piha Classic.
