Reflection

Lord, we give you thanks for the assurance that the past can be left to your mercy, the present to your love, and the future to your providence. Help us to grow more aware of your loving presence, that we may live more authentically and proclaim by our words and actions the good news of the fullness of your love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Greg's Message

Hello Parents and Friends of St. Anne’s
The St. Anne’s community is in mourning with the passing of Lilly Dunne  - a wonderful mother, and great friend of so many people. I know that this fabulous community is supporting, and will continue to support, the Dunne family. It is also important that we “rally” around each other. Our heartfelt condolences are extended to the Dunne and Kwiatkowski family. May Lilly rest in peace.

Illness
Yes it’s that time of year when we are vulnerable to illness. In the best interests of everybody, please don’t send your child to school when they are unwell; this is particularly important if your child’s illness is contagious.

Book Week
Our annual Book Week day was held today. Once again the children (and staff) looked fantastic in their outfits. Our students also thoroughly enjoyed the various Book Week activities they undertook in small groups. Many thanks to Lisa Browne for coordinating the day.

Enrolments
We will be starting to organise class structures shortly. It would be appreciated if parents could advise me if their child will not be attending St. Anne’s next year (current Foundation to Year 5 students.)

CEMSIS SURVEYS
CEMSIS is an acronym of Catholic Education Melbourne School Improvement Surveys. Surveys will be offered to staff, year 4,5 and 6 students and parents. All surveys will be undertaken online. The surveys will provide feedback in relation to our school’s perceived strengths and areas for improvement, and assist in driving school improvement. The survey period is from Monday 2nd September until Friday 20th September.

FATHERS’ DAY BREAKFAST/STALL
St Anne's are hosting a Fathers’ Day Breakfast on Friday 30th August from 7:30am - 8:45am in the Multi-purpose Hall. Our Fathers’ Day stall will be held in the Performing Arts area from 9am.

School Fees
We still have a significant amount of school fees outstanding. For those concerned your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Social Justice

Last call for any baby goods to be donated to the St Kilda Mum’s.
We have had two bags of clean goods and would love to add to these.
With spring coming up, this is a good time to have a ‘spring clean’ and clean out those drawers that have clothes etc that your babies have grown out of. Donations can be left in a bag at the office. Cut off date is Friday the 30th August. Please consider….. The Social Justice Group & Mrs Bellio
