Sign up to a multi-country study to uncover Vitamin D deficiency

Researchers from IHMRI are recruiting participants for a landmark study into vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D aids in calcium absorption to promote healthy bones. This study is part of Rebecca Vearing’s PhD project, which looks at vitamin D levels in women around the world, including participants in the UK and Brazil.

IHMRI shares research with local community group 

PhD candidate Elette Engels was a guest speaker at the University of the Third Age (U3A), Wollongong on 24 August. Elette shared her research into the physics behind radiation interactions with nanoparticles to treat brain cancer.  On 7 September Dr Yee Lian Chew shared her work on neuroscience & chronic pain and Dr Samantha Wade on cancer therapeutics.

IHMRI researcher shapes national MS Guidelines

Associate Professor Yasmine Probst's work around diet and lifestyle has been pivotal in shaping the new MS Dietary Guidelines. This new evidence-based lifestyle guide,  launched by MS Research Australia, has been developed to help people living with multiple sclerosis (MS).
