“Touch saved me from loneliness. What will we become without it?”

How do we Respond?

We are all affected by this critical need to be physically disconnected from one another at the moment and for we don’t know how long into the future. We too are asking the question, without touch, what will we become?

A Research Discussion

Colleagues at C-DaRE will come together to discuss the issues raised in the recent article in the Guardian by V (formerly Eve Ensler) “Touch saved me from loneliness. What will we become without it?” Click here to read the article.

How might our experiences of contact in dance enter this conversation? How can dance help us back to being able to touch again?

The discussion will take place online, the only place we can meet, with a panel of C-DaRE members.

Call for Questions

We invite you to join the conversation by sending in any questions you would like us to address, if we can! Please get in touch by emailing Lily Hayward-Smith on aa2849@coventry.ac.uk by Wednesday 29th April, or via our social media channels.

A recording will be shared online post discussion. Keep an eye on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube for more.
