ESSM School in Budapest: ISSM Scholarship Update
The ISSM will award 10 scholarships to the ESSM School of Sexual Medicine or the Advanced Course, both scheduled for August 20 - 29, 2021 in Budapest, Hungary.
Available to first-time attendees only, the scholarships will include the full amount of the registration fee, which covers tuition, meals, and accommodations.
Applicants must be ISSM full members in good standing. All application materials must be received by May 31, 2021.
Note: The ESSM School of Sexual Medicine and the Advanced Course were originally scheduled for this month, but have been postponed to August because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Social Support Essential for Transgender People: Study
Transgender people need social support, but that support is not always available to them, report the authors of a recent Journal of Sexual Medicine study.
Without social support, transgender people may be more likely to have psychiatric disorders, the authors added.
The study included 50 transgender people seeking sex reassignment in Turkey. Fifty cisgender people served as a control group.
The participants answered questions about their psychiatric history and their experiences disclosing their transgender status to family and friends. They also completed the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support assessment tool.

It's easy to create a listing:

Log in to the Members Only section of the ISSM website.

Click on the My ISSM link and choose My ISSM Profile.

Update your profile information and complete the Fields for Find a Provider section.

Make sure the Publish My Data in the Search Provider Tool field is set to yes.
We recommend that you keep your profile current. Please note that members using the Find a Provider tool are responsible for updating their information as appropriate.
