Disability support workers are the forgotten essential service workers in the COVID-19 pandemic, despite their vital role in caring for people with disabilities. The safety, health and well-being of disability support workers is critical to ensure that people with disabilities receive timely, adequate, and necessary support. Would you like participate in free online music gatherings to have fun, meet new people and help us learn more about online music participation during this time of widespread social isolation?We are offering two groups for adults with a planned start date of mid-June at the following times. Music for relaxation – Fridays 4-5PM – Music listening paired with relaxation inductions, imagery experiences and creative drawing Sing it out LOUD – Wednesdays 6-7PM – Shared music making experiences that involve singing, chanting playing and chatting As co-researchers, participants will be asked to discuss what you think of the groups as we go so we can improve them each week. We will also encourage more extended discussions throughout via interviews. Groups will be recorded for the research. New Study: Making the City of Melbourne more inclusive for children and young people with a disability Children and adolescents with disability have the right to participate in society on an equal basis to those without disability. This qualitative study sought the ideas of advocates, disability experts, children and adolescents with disability, and their parents and guardians on key enablers of inclusion for children and adolescents with a disability.
