How can we help?
Thanks to data linkage and the many and varied sources of survey and administrative information, Australian policies and programs are increasingly being informed by data.
However, organisations are often unaware of the vast range of routinely collected data that could help steer their decisions. Or they may need support to access and make best use of this data.
The Analysis for Policy team can help you maximise your use of datasets and design policy-relevant research to answer your questions.
We work particularly with the Sax Institute’s
45 and Up Study, Australia’s largest longitudinal study of healthy ageing. The Study includes one in every 10 people aged over 45 years living in NSW and can be linked to other large datasets such as the MBS and PBS.
“Analysis for Policy is designed to provide timely answers to policy questions, and to ensure the rich information from the 45 and Up Study and services datasets can be put to best use and is an accessible resource for decision making,“ says Manager Mark Bartlett.
The program can help you to narrow down what data will best meet your information needs, as well
as supporting you to work up and implement analyses.
