BragfolderBragfolder is a free tool that can be used alongside CVs and personal statements to help students develop their portfolio. It is easy to set up and start adding content to profiles. McDonald’s EducationMcDonald’s has recently updated their education website and have created three curriculum linked challenges with related lesson plans. The challenges are Business Studies, Food Preparation and Careers and Employability. All the resources are free. Free STEM ResourcesNetwork Rail, in conjunction with STEM Learning, have created three downloadable teaching resources to help bring STEM subjects to life. The resources include designing a pantograph and a power planning activity, which looks at how much power electric trains use. The presentations include full notes and descriptions for teachers. It is also possible to request a STEM Ambassador to help deliver the activities. Technology, Design and Innovation (TDI) ChallengeThe Manufacturing Technologies Association are looking for entries from Students aged 14-19 to this D&T challenge. As well as individual student prizes, schools can also win £2000 of credit to spend on D&T equipment for the classroom. Many students enter with their existing coursework projects, but projects developed especially for the challenge are also welcome. Finalists get a tour of a modern manufacturing plant and the opportunity to build links with local engineering firms.
