NSC Associate Director of Academic Programs
Applications Due Feb. 20 - One Week From Today
The application process is now open for the NSC Associate Director of Academic Programs; the details of the position, eligibility, term, resources, etc. can be found here. Important clarification: to serve in the role of Associate Director of Academic Programs, one need not have previous administrative experience, it is just a preference. Please contact Dr. Boyd Lindsley with any questions.
Professional Master's Program Survey - Feb. 15
The graduate programs working group has developed a very short survey to solicit input regarding the content to be covered in a professional master's degree program in communication. Please take this survey opportunity to help shape future curriculum and students.
Pride Denied Film Screening - Mar. 28
The Pride Denied screening will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Mar. 28 in the UCF Live Oak Event Center with a discussion to follow. Pride Denied focuses on sites of ongoing oppression of queer and trans people that have been largely obscured in the mainstream media by the celebration of advances like marriage rights. These urgent issues include: state violence, the criminalization of public sex (especially targeting sex workers), alongside the marginalization of other queer forms of intimacy.
Lambda Pi Eta Fall 2017 Application - Deadline Mar. 22
Lambda Pi Eta apllications for Fall 2017 are now being accepted. The purposes of Lambda Pi Eta are to recognize, foster and reward outstanding scholastic achievement in communication studies, stimulate interest in the field of communication, and provide an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas in the field of communication. If you of any students who might be interested, please encourage them to apply. Find the application here.
BFSA Meet and Greet - Feb. 24
BFSA faculty and staff are excited to host a faculty and student meet and greet! Starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, this will be an awesome opportunity that will give faculty, staff and students the chance to grow their networks and make new connections. All are invited to attend!
