No Images? Click here Last night I attended a meeting of the Marino/Kingston Park Neighbourhood Watch. Crime rates in our local area are normally quite low but in recent months there has been a surge in break-ins and opportunistic petty crimes such as thefts from cars, driveways and garden sheds. The Sturt Police are aware of this situation and have been focusing extra resources on the area in an attempt to tackle the crime surge. I certainly don't want to scare locals regarding this matter – we still live in an area where crime is relatively low; however, I thought it would be worth bringing this to the attention of locals so that we can be vigilant and take the necessary precautions. With summer now here, doors and windows are more likely to be left open, sheds left unlocked and items of value left sitting in gardens and on verandahs. It could be worth taking a walk around your property and looking for any opportunities that exist to gain access.
