Volunteers needed for Agnes Blues and Roots

Agnes Blues and Roots Festival

The 2014 Agnes Water Blues and Roots Festival is back with an extra day, more bands and more stages. The festival kicks off at 4pm on Thursday, February 27 and runs until Sunday afternoon, March 2. The festival experience gets better and better each year but it needs your help.

Volunteers are needed to work at the bar, issue wrist bands and programs at the main gate and help with the set up and pull down. Volunteers will receive a complimentary ticket to the festival on the day of their shift and discounted tickets to the festival on the days they don't work. Email to register your interest or find out more.

Clean Up Australia Day

Get involved with Clean Up Australia Day on March 2 and help rid our parks, creeks, beaches and neighbourhoods of rubbish. If everyone in the region picked up just one piece of rubbish that would remove tens of thousands of pieces of waste in one day.

Residents can help by either organising a site that is in need of a Clean Up, volunteer to help at an existing site or assist through the placement of skip bins and ute pick up services. Click here to search for a Clean Up near you, register online or phone Council's Sustainability and Environment Officer Heather Richards on 4977 6530.
