Dr. Somerville wins Young Investigator Award

In January of this year we launched a very exciting new research study,
the Human Connectome Project – Development (HCP-D):
a ground-breaking, national study investigating how different parts of the brain are connected to each other, and how these connections change from childhood to adulthood. With over 1,300 participants across four U.S. sites, the scientific advances of this research will allow us to study the developing brain at unprecedented detail.

We are currently recruiting participants 8 to 21 years old, and we would love for you to join us in making scientific history! Please note that this is a two-visit study, and that, for minors, enrollment involves the presence and active participation of one of their parents during the two study visits.

Interested? Please email us at brain@fas.harvard.edu, or call us at 617-496-4979

Thanks so much for taking interest in our research! We are also reaching out to ask for your help-- one of our goals is to connect with the greater Boston community to spread the word about our work. We are always looking for research volunteers, and we are always looking to share our research with schools and community groups!

Please feel free to share this newsletter with family and friends who might be interested in learning about our lab!

Thanks for your continued support, and have a healthy and happy autumn!
