International Guest Researchers Support now available at BSS and HE

The International Guest Researchers Support is a service that provides assistance with the relevant permits, registrations, housing and insurance for short-stay guest researchers at AU. In addition, the service informs the guests about what is offered to internationals at AU (International Centre, University International Club, networking, etc.). To ensure a safe and reliable service, this service was launched for the faculty of Science and Technology and the faculty of Arts during the month of January, 2013. During March of 2013, the service became available for hosts and guest at the faculty of Health and the faculty of Business and Social Sciences. Read more about the specific coverage and limitations of this service in this news item or in our webpage.

Since May 20 2012, along with every application for a residence permit in Denmark, it has been a legal requirement that all internationals provide their biometric data. Additionally, the biometrics should be submitted within 14 days of the application. Until now, reminders were sent to the applicant by the agency, however, as of April 15, 2013 applicants will only receive a confirmation email in order to submit their biometrics. Housing Application updates from The IC Housing Office

Soon, the IC housing office will publish the new housing application procedures. The most notable change will be that, in the future, housing reservations will require for the applicant to pay the first month’s rent by credit card at the time of the reservation. In other words, it will not be possible to accept a housing offer without paying the first month's rent. Until the new housing administration system is in place, application, confirmation and housing allocation will continue as usual. If you need more information about the application for housing, please visit the Housing Office webpage.

The Sino-Nordic Welfare research network (SNoW) is aims to facilitate Chinese and Nordic researcher/scholar collaboration. SNoW offers a platform for cooperation by offering workshops and PhD courses, as well as a newsletter with relevant information for its target group.
