Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) - 2019 Prize Winners!

The University hosted its fifth annual Undergraduate Research Conference on 25 July, showcasing fantastic student research projects across all Faculties. URC continues to attract an exceptional level of research, and is an excellent platform for students to demonstrate their skills. A full list of prize winners can be viewed here.

  • Student elections
    The Adelaide University Union and Student Representative Council elections are approaching! Nominations open 9 am 12 August and close at 4 pm 16 August - so get in quickly and find out more.
  • Learn more about free services to help you with study!
    Have a chat and learn more about how we can help you at level 4 of Hub Central on 15 August, 12 pm to 2 pm.

  • Check before you've left!
    Night audits at the university have revealed huge amounts of electricity is wasted because of electrical devices being left on overnight. So help the environment and double check that you've turned off lights, computers and devices before you leave!

  • National Student Volunteer Week
    10 am - 3 pm, 12-18 August 2019
    Come along to the Hub and chat about volunteering and how you can claim hours through the Adelaide Graduate Award.
  • Free Bike Engraving
    15 August, 10 am to 1 pm - Treadly On Campus (Hub Central, near wooden steps)
    Need to keep your items safer? SA Police are offering free bike and mobile device engraving on campus. No bookings required, and you can find out more about bike security here.

 
  • Free breakfast for Safer Campus Week
    16 August, 8:30 am to 10:30 am - Level 5 Union House 
    Help create a Safer Campus together by joining us at Student Care's free Breakfast Club this Friday.
    Have a chat without Student Health & Wellbeing Volunteers while helping yourself to toasted sandwiches, cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee, and grab one of 30 KeepCups from 9 am!

  • Doctors for the Environment (DEA) Quiz Night
    7:30 pm, 23 August - UniBar
    Come along to learn more about health and the environment from medical students whilst testing out your knowledge and taking part in fun side games. Tickets include pizzatecca dinner, drink specials and more! All welcome.
 

 

  • 2019 Annual French Play
    28, 29 & 30 August, 1 pm or 7 pm - The Little Theatre
    The Adelaide University French Club is proud to present its 2019 production, La Guerre de Troie n'aura pas lieu, an adaptation of Jean Giraudoux's classic drama about the Trojan War. Performances are in French with English subtitles with a runtime of 2 hours. Grab your tickets now!
  • The Funding Network: Live Crowdfunding event for homelessness
    Applications are now open! We're looking for innovative social change initiatives to help people who are currently experiencing, at risk of, or on their journey out of homelessness.
    The event itself will be an inspiring night of storytelling, fundraising and focus on ending homelessness through the Adelaide Zero Project - book your tickets now!

 

Careers & employment

The Adelaide University Union advertises part time work for current students on the paid vacancies page from Employment Services.

Career Services are free for all students. CareerHub features a jobs board of opportunities related to your studies including paid work experience and graduate roles. The Careers team also run employer events and workshops to increase employability, build resumes, improve your interview skills and more.
