What are you saying yes to? No images? This isn't a criticism, they're all worth waiting for, but they reflect on how hard it is to stick to timetables and schedules when we get shaken out of our usual pattern of working. This begs the question: when change is all around us, what are we really committed to? On Monday I asked my community what they would be saying yes to this week. I was heartened to see so many people committing to looking after themselves, saying yes to doing the things that make them feel good, and keep them healthy, fit and happy. Before we commit to anything; to our families, our communities, to each other, we need to make a deeper, more profound commitment to ourselves. I read a brilliant post by Ben Evans about letting go, in
which he said, So, while change swirls all around us we still have choices, we still have power. We can let go of deadlines, of routine, of rituals, of goals that are no longer important and choose to commit to ourselves, to creating the change we want, not the change that others think we need. What will you say yes to? ![]() I've always been fascinated by what makes people tick. I'm not interested in small talk. I’m fortunate to know some fascinating people who share their passions and interests with me and because its more important than ever to connect at a human level, I’m inviting everyone I know to share these things publicly. I’ve borrowed the idea from the world famous TED Talks and called them ‘ED (not quite TED) Talks These are going to be 18 minute presentations on Zoom on an astonishing variety of topics.
