Webinar - Dr Kylie Munyard 

It is not too late to get your tickets for the alpaca genetics webinar with Kylie Munyard.

Dr Munyard will talk about her genetic research and the DNA test for identifying colour in alpacas to help breeders better predict breeding outcomes. This is of interest to alpaca breeders of all colours - while an alpaca may look like one colour, it might actually be something else! You can learn how to identify homozygous for the “white” allele and then breed to ensure progeny from white and fawn alpaca will be white. The DNA test can also allow breeders to avoid colour combinations that are harmful for alpacas.

If you've already purchased your tickets, you will get your link and code emailed to you before the end of the weekend.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite at a cost of $30 for AAA members and $50 for non-members. 

National Fleece Challenge 

Entries for the National Fleece Challenge (4-6 December) are now open on eAlpaca!

Head over to the special challenge page on the AAA website  where you'll find information  on classes, judging, entry fees and  how to get your fleece to the show.
