$87,500 Funding & Development for Web & Film Stories

Over the past 3 years, Metro Screen has been funding creative storytelling through the Breaks program. In 2014 the Breaks funding program is back with a focus on getting stories from script to screen with cash support, production subsidies and expert development workshops. Eight filmmaking teams (producer, director, writer) will be selected to take their projects into the Story Hothouse and then develop their craft at the Director Foundary before rolling the camera in full-scale production.

Watch 2013 Breaks filmmaker, Samuel Leighton-Dore, talk about his experiences making the short drama Showboy, currently in post-production.

offscreen – My digital companion

I came across this magazine by chance in a fancy bookshop and have been completely obsessed with it since that ‘love at first sight’ moment. Its beautiful, well written and hits that sweet spot between web, code, design, and creativity that turns me on. If you can’t get to a shop right now, get an online fix from their beautiful blog.
