NSC eUpdate April 16, 2018

Did You Know?

Did you know that as of July 1, 2018, UCF IT Telecommunications will no longer offer Skype for Business Voice Off-Campus Call Forwarding free of charge? The same function will be available, however, through the Skype for Business Mobile Client Application. This change will only affect forwarding your Skype for Business phone to numbers external to UCF.
If you choose to continue using Off-Campus Call Forwarding, please submit a Telecommunications Request Form (TRF) prior to July 1.  A monthly Recurring Charge of $2 per phone line applied to your departmental account will added. To Clarify, Call Forwarding & Simultaneous Ring to internal UCF phone numbers will still be available and free to all Skype for Business phones. For any questions or concern, please contact the UCF IT Support Center. Now you know.

Important Events on Monday, April 23

The Nicholson School will host the Eat. Study. Love student recognition event from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, April 23 in the Atrium. This event gives students an opportunity to receive a “good luck” snack/breakfast food from the faculty and staff of the Nicholson School. Please invite your students to attend. If you are interested in providing breakfast goodies click here.

An all-school meeting will be held from 2 to 3:50 p.m. in CB1 Room 309. Dr. Littlefield, will share important information and updates for the Nicholson School of Communication and Media.

Finally, because we are now one Nicholson School, we need to get to know each other better. A late afternoon party is scheduled for Monday, April 23, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the courtyard and atrium area of the Nicholson building. We plan a variety of complimentary beverages, hot food, and snacks. With a little luck, we’ll have some entertainment and plenty of time for conversation. I hope all faculty and staff in our new school will drop by for this start of a new relationship. In order to plan appropriately, please click here and let us know if you will be able to attend.
