When the next disaster hits
It’s a matter of when, not if. Calgary will experience another major disaster in its future. Whether it is sooner or later, a flood or an ice storm, make no mistake, it will happen eventually. But what should be our priority after the immediate humanitarian needs have been addressed?
Chamber President Adam Legge advises every business in our city to make creating an emergency plan a priority. It doesn’t have to be long, or complex. What it should do is ensure that you are able to deal with an emergency situation and shut down, and also get your business back up and running as soon as possible.
Read more from Chamber President Adam Legge on the importance of a plan in ensuring business continuity after a disaster.
