ABCD launches FreeStyle Libre audit tool 

A new online tool is now available to allow participants of a national FreeStyle Libre audit to analyse data.

Launched by the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD), the survey aims to get a real-world view of the FreeStyle Libre in adults and paediatric patients with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Survey will assess emotional and psychological services

Healthcare professionals are being asked to take part in a survey launched by Diabetes UK to assess emotional and psychological services.

It is a follow up 10 years on from a similar exercise carried out nationally by Diabetes UK, which resulted in the report Minding the Gap: The provision of psychological support and care for people with diabetes in the UK.

Type 2 treatment intensification guidelines issued

Guidelines about treatment intensification in adults with type 2 diabetes have been issued for healthcare professionals around the world.

The recommendations, which appeared in Annals of Internal Medicine, were published by the World Health Organization (WHO) and also featured information about analogue or human insulin in type 1 and 2 diabetes.
