Reflection

Lead me this day, Lord,
not only to be of service to others
but to ensure
that I find quiet moments
for myself and for you.

Learning and Teaching

The St. Anne’s 2021 Times Table Challenge!

We are very encouraged to see how students are taking up the times table challenge, and have already come back to school sharing their successes. We ask that each time they have completed a page, a parent signs and dates that page, ensuring it has been corrected. We appreciate your support in encouraging your child/children to complete their task each night. Please also remind them that to earn House Points, they need to bring their booklets back to school each Monday for their House Captains to check them and tally up a percentage of effort for each House.

Games for the family

  • Dice games
  • Roll 2 dice and multiply (best with 10 sided dice but use whatever you have). For a challenge make this timed.
  • Roll one die and focus on multiplying it by one number.
  • Card games
  • Like ‘Snap’ each player takes turns to place a card down. Select a number to multiply by, and call out the answer. Whoever gets the answer correct keeps the cards.
  • Speed drills: choose a number to multiply by and time for one minute how many times you can get a correct answer. Try to increase the number of correct answers each time.
  • Online games and activities
  • Timestables
  • Topmarks
  • Mathmammoth

Thank you for your support and we look forward to sharing some positive results with you soon!
