The Julius Singers will be performing, along with Queen Square's Scratch Orchestra, and our duo of renowned clinician-musicians Professor Mick Powell and Dr Nick Losseff.

Black Friday & Giving Tuesday

Retailers have started Black Friday early and many of them are offering great deals for a week or more, as well as special deals on the day itself. This is the perfect opportunity to stock up on those Christmas gifts, and while you do it, raise FREE funds for us. Simply sign up to Give As You Live, start shopping, and help raise extra money for The National Brain Appeal. It must be one of the simplest and easiest ways to support us!

Giving Tuesday is next week, and is designed to be a day of giving back and doing 'good stuff' for charity after the spending excesses of Black Friday. For Giving Tuesday, we want to share the stories of some of our supporters whose lives have been helped by The National Hospital and have have been inspired to support The National Brain Appeal. Watch out for our videos on Facebook and Twitter – and a special e-letter from us on Tuesday.

Bake Off at The National

Don't panic! The photo above is NOT a real brain, it's actually one of last year's winning entries to The Great National Bake Off. This particular red velvet cake was a complete showstopper and tasted amazing!

By popular demand we are bringing back Bake Off to the hospital on 12 December, so if you would like to take part – and have your entry judged by the very first The Great British Bake Off winner, Edd Kimber. Anita Mangan, cookbook designer, will join him.

To take part and get the full details, please email Brooke Parsons.
