Date: Thursday 14 December 2017, from 6.30pm Black Friday & Giving TuesdayRetailers have started Black Friday early and many of them are offering great deals for a week or more, as well as special deals on the day itself. This is the perfect opportunity to stock up on those Christmas gifts, and while you do it, raise FREE funds for us. Simply sign up to Give As You Live, start shopping, and help raise extra money for The National Brain Appeal. It must be one of the simplest and easiest ways to support us! Giving Tuesday is next week, and is designed to be a day of giving back and doing 'good stuff' for charity after the spending excesses of Black Friday. For Giving Tuesday, we want to share the stories of some of our supporters whose lives have been helped by The National Hospital and have have been inspired to support The National Brain Appeal. Watch out for our videos on Facebook and Twitter – and a special e-letter from us on Tuesday. Run with SantaImagine the sight of more than 4,000 Santas running a 5k! You could be a part of the most festive fun run ever on 3 December, while raising funds for a great cause. Whether you run, jog or walk – this event is all about the taking part, not the winning. Entry includes a FREE Santa Suit for every runner! Click below to register for a place, or for more information email Alexis Gebbie. Bake Off at The NationalDon't panic! The photo above is NOT a real brain, it's actually one of last year's winning entries to The Great National Bake Off. This particular red velvet cake was a complete showstopper and tasted amazing! By popular demand we are bringing back Bake Off to the hospital on 12 December, so if you would like to take part – and have your entry judged by the very first The Great British Bake Off winner, Edd Kimber. Anita Mangan, cookbook designer, will join him. To take part and get the full details, please email Brooke Parsons. For more events, personal stories and how you can get involved, please visit |
