There are many events across the University and online where you can get creative, recharge, have fun or get moving – everything to help you prioritise your mental wellbeing. Check this page to see the latest events throughout the month. Finally, I would like to encourage you to get vaccinated if you’re able to do so. Our best defence against the pandemic is the highest possible level of vaccination. The more people vaccinated, the safer our community and the sooner the state and international borders can reopen. Doreen Krumbiegel Tip of the Month The AGC receives many phone calls every day, and we are unfortunately unable to answer each one straight away, particularly when already assisting others or after business hours. Please leave a message with your name, your phone number AND student ID - this will greatly assist us in getting back to you with the relevant information. Postgraduate Scholarship OpportunitiesThe Adelaide Graduate Centre maintains a searchable database of available scholarship opportunities (both full scholarships and supplementary scholarships), funded by both the University of Adelaide and external funding bodies. While the majority of available scholarships are awarded as part of the standard admission and scholarship rounds for domestic and international students, some are awarded at different times throughout the year, and may have a separate application process. Visit the Postgraduate Scholarships website regularly for up to date information on current scholarship opportunities. Playford Trust PhD Supplementary Scholarships The Trust is once again offering two PhD scholarships, which it will fund entirely. The scholarships are intended to supplement an existing Australian Government Research Training Program Stipend Scholarship (RTPS) or similar institutional PhD stipend scholarship. A copy of the letter confirming one of these stipends must be supplied to the Trust before the scholarship can be awarded. Applicants must be commencing research in one of the Trust’s priority areas:
Scholarships are valued at $5,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years. Applications for 2022 scholarships close 21 January 2021. Find out more.
