2020 YACVic Young Activators Program 

YACVic Rural Activators Program will be sponsored by RSPCA Victoria and support young people aged 16-25 in bushfire-affected communities. Activators will work to develop and deliver a project on an issue designed to help their local community. They don't have to have a specific idea already in mind; but you do have to be passionate about the community and animal welfare.

The Fair Work Commission has extended the entitlement to unpaid pandemic leave and annual leave at half pay in 63 awards.

What is Schedule X?

Schedule X is a temporary schedule in some awards. It gives employees:

  • 2 weeks of unpaid pandemic leave
  • the ability to take twice as much annual leave at half their normal pay if their employer agrees.
