These sessions are an opportunity to raise issues of shared concern such as PhD supervision, internal funding, teaching load etc. and come up with ideas together to improve the environment for ECRs at the University. Sign up and more information here Seeking New ECR Representative on URC Two ECR representatives are members of the University Research Committee (URC). The Committee meets three times a year. In advance of each URC meeting the ECR representatives organise the content of the ECR Forum. Dr Seyed Shariatipour is stepping down from the role and we are seeking an ECR to replace him and join Dr Sarah Davey. If you are interested in becoming an ECR representative please complete the Expression of Interest by 27th September 2021 at 4pm. Doctoral Supervision Programme The Doctoral Supervision Programme aims to promote the development of academic staff’s skills and competencies that will lead to enhanced support for doctoral researchers, enabling PGRs to successfully complete their studies and become independent researchers. Research Methods Workshop Series The RECAP Research Methods Workshop Series offers workshops on generic research methods topics applicable to different disciplines. The topics and content covered in this programme are introductory and the expectation is that participants will gain basic knowledge and skills which can establish the basis for application and more advanced learning.
