Eberly’s Giving Tuesday 2020 Exceeds Goals

Thank you for making the Eberly College of Science’s 2020 Giving Tuesday initiative an overwhelming success—raising $11,920 to support our Office of Diversity and Inclusion!

Michelle Wijaya of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will be honored as the student marshal for the Eberly College of Science during Penn State’s virtual commencement ceremonies on Saturday, December 19.

Nine Eberly faculty featured as Highly Cited Researchers in 2020 by Clarivate
The 2020 Highly Cited Researchers list features researchers who have demonstrated considerable influence in their chosen field through publication of multiple works that have been cited by a significant number of their peers during the last decade.

Could SARS-CoV-2 evolve resistance to COVID-19 vaccines?
"As we have seen with other diseases, such as pneumonia, the evolution of resistance can quickly render vaccines ineffective. By learning from these previous challenges and by implementing this knowledge during vaccine design, we may be able to maximize the long-term impact of COVID-19 vaccines."
