New Product: TP-RCP - TransPacktor Robotic Case Packer (Video ID: 418)
AFA Systems has developed a new innovative case packer for use with bottles, canisters, and more. The case packer utilizes a different loading strategy, resulting in a significant decrease in change over time and machine footprint. Instead of the traditional way of case loading either through gravity dropping or a pick and place, the TransPacktor will erect the case and place the case over the collated bottle array. This results in the change-over process becoming extremely simplified as expensive change parts are not required. This style of case packing also incurs a small footprint as a separate case erector is not required. Allen Bradley PLCs and servo motors control on the TransPacktor.
New Product: HD-STK - Intermittent Motion Stick Pack Cartoner (Video ID: 419)
AFA Systems has designed a new stick-pack cartoner to meet the demands of 500 stick-packs per minute. The system incorporates AFA's Delta 3 Robot and a servo-driven flighted indexing conveyor to collate and group stick-packs from an upstream stick-pack machine. As a result, AFA Systems can integrate with a wide range of stick-pack machines, including a Ropak 10-lane stick-pack machine. The heavy-duty frame of the system ensures limited vibrations and 24/7 operation. The HD-STK also includes a built-in VPN for remote trouble-shooting capabilities and an Allen Bradley controls package. In addition, a wide array of stick-pack counts can run on the HD-STK. The HD-STK comes standard with a PanelView 1000 HMI.
