To date electrical works on 75 of 125 new properties at Moulton have been completed and work has now commenced at Temple Herdwyke with electrical works completed at five of the 94 plots. Mechanically, good progress is being made at Raunds and Husbands Bosworth with the installation of sanitaryware and heating systems. ![]() NEW STARTERS ![]() This month we welcomed new faces to the team. Ben Hutchinson (left) has begun his three month probation period as a trainee mechanical apprentice working predominantly across our work with Tingdene with the opportunity to work on new build projects and other developments. Meanwhile, electrical apprentice Declan Bell (right) who will support the team across all sectors before, on completion of a successful probation period, will begin training at EAS Mechanical approved training centre in Northampton one day a week in September. INDUSTRY NEWS ![]() As the UK prepares for a summer of staycations, Brits are spending thousands on updating their outdoor space, but many could be putting lives at risk by tackling dangerous DIY electrical work to create an insta-worthy garden full of fancy new features. Garden pubs, hot tubs and feature lighting are top of the garden improvement list this summer according to new research* by NICEIC, the UK’s leading name for registered electrical contractors. Worryingly though, 34% of 18-24 year olds believe installing electrics outside is safer than indoors and would attempt the work themselves rather than bringing in a registered electrical contractor. Despite the dangers of dabbling in electrics, 1 in 10 adults are likely to carry out the work themselves instead of hiring a registered electrical contractor, putting them and their families in danger.
