Western Innovation Initiative aims to grow small technology businesses

Western Economic Diversification Canada has launched the Western Innovation Initiative (WINN) to help small and medium sized businesses that specialize in commercializing technology-based products and services.

WINN is a 100 million dollar, five-year, federal funding program that will provide repayable loans to operations in Western Canada in an effort to help them move from the final research and development stage to the marketplace.

The deadline to apply is December 8.
