COVID-19 Alert

The Premier has announced that from 12:01am Thursday 5th August 2021, COVID-19 restrictions in South Australia will be eased slightly. The main easing of restrictions is the density requirement. Other restrictions introduced last week will remain. We will send out a detailed update in coming days when we receive the government Activities Direction with the details of the new restrictions.

Churches will be sent an updated COVID Safe Plan from the government before the new restrictions come into operation. We encourage congregations to follow their COVID Safe Plans, as they will contain all the information you need.

Homelessness Week 2021

This week is Homelessness Week which is held annually in August. It is an opportunity to raise awareness of people experiencing homelessness, the issues they face and the action needed to achieve enduring solutions. Homelessness robs people of dignity and self-worth.

Prayer Points

This week we pray for:

  • For our church as we gather each week, that in our local community, we recognise the needs and respond with action

  • For our nation, that we continue to be able to share faith, gather to worship and pray together

  • For our leaders, that they be tolerant, work to build up the whole community, and understand the unique gifts of the vulnerable at this time.

Reflection of the week

God’s call to humanity has been consistent since the genesis of time. Live your life through love of God and love of neighbour, understanding that we are a diverse bunch, each offering gifts that are unique, and part of the whole of God’s realm. Unity expresses God’s compelling love.
