Challenge yourself for the one in six!

Hello

What do you hope to achieve this year? Are you planning to learn a new skill or explore a new land? Conquer a mountain or run a marathon?

Whatever you have in mind, join us and do it to raise money for The National Hospital.

Top six challenge ideas

1. Learn a new skill

If you've challenged yourself to learn something new, why not combine it with a good cause.

You might have decided that this will be the year to improve your culinary skills so perhaps you could host a cake sale, a sponsored Come Dine with Me or a glamorous cocktail-mixing night.

Perhaps you're learning a new language; invite your friends to a themed French, Spanish or Mandarin night. Or maybe your new hobby is craft-based; will it be you who organises our very first knit-a-thon?

Let your imagination run wild - there are so many ways you can help and we'd love to hear from you...

2. Dust off your trainers

Run for us as part of the #BrainAppealTeam at Run to the Beat, the Berlin Marathon, the Royal Parks Half Marathon or any other race you may have in mind.

Sign up for one of our challenge events today.

3. Explore somewhere new

You don't have to travel the world to explore somewhere new. If this is the year you plan to see more of the UK, why not come on an adventure with The National Brain Appeal.

Trekfest will be running two separate trips to the Brecon Beacons and the Peak District - a great chance to challenge yourself and raise money while you are at it.

4. Mix it up

If just one sporting activity is a little too lame for you, mix it up with three challenges. Run, swim and cycle in August's London Triathlon. And if that's too ambitious, create a dream team with two of your friends.

5. Volunteer your time

If your resolution for 2014 was to donate a little of your time, then join us as a volunteer.

Cheerlead at sporting events, help out at concerts and parties or play a crucial role helping us to organise our fundraising events by becoming an office volunteer. You can contact us here.

6. Organise an event of your own

If none of the above whet your appetite or you challenged yourself to do something totally different for charity this year, then this is your chance. Give us a call on 020 3448 4724 - we'd love to have a chat.

Whatever you enjoy doing, please do something brilliant this year for the one in six who live with a neurological condition. We can't wait to see what you get up to!
