A joint project between the kiosk manufacturer Meridian and the advertising company Clear Channel Airports has generated an ADA-compliant interactive digital signage and advertising platform for airports. The unit offers wayfinding and phone services, as well as advertising displays for local amenities. The digital screen was lowered on this unit so that the bottom portion falls within an accessible reach range. Content out of reach of the user can be pulled down into the compliant area using buttons near the bottom of the screen. Users who are blind or have low vision can access information through the incorporated handset. Additionally, the unit comes with multi-language support for displaying content in ten different languages.
