1. Outbreak in France linked to Spanish dried sausage

Almost 50 people, including 27 children are sick in France with monophasic Salmonella Typhimurium infections after eating fuet, a type of dry cured sausage from Spain.

2. Multi-state Salmonella outbreak linked to salad kits reported by CDC

The FDA, along with CDC and state and local partners, is investigating a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Typhimurium infections linked to the consumption of packaged salad greens produced in Illinois.
