Obese Women Less Sexually Active
Overweight or obese women tend to be less sexually active and have higher rates of sexual dysfunction, according to recent research in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
The study included 6,688 women aged 18 to 94 who were seeking help for sexual health and menopause-related problems. Each participant filled out questionnaires.
Women who were obese or overweight reported less frequent sex during the previous four weeks, the researchers said. They were also more likely to experience trouble with sexual pain, arousal, vaginal lubrication, and orgasm.
