More Presentations and a Focus on Young Professionals to Highlight ASB’s BakingTech 2014

American Society of Baking’s annual BakingTech is right around the corner, March 2-4, in Chicago. More presentations and educational sessions contribute to the line up, as well as a continued focus on young professional involvement in the ASB organization.

Young professionals, 40 and younger, will be welcomed with new events like a scavenger hunt on Sunday, March 2 and a panel discussion on Monday that is a Q&A session between the young professionals and the more tenured members of the industry.

ASB’s Young Professionals Committee also organized a pre-show webinar to prepare members to make the most of the week, entitled “Young Professionals Guide to BakingTech.” This live webinar will be held on Friday, February 21 from 3:00 - 4:00 pm EST.

Due to member’s feedback in 2013, there will be 35 presentations at this year’s BakingTech, the most ever. There will also be eight technical sessions and two keynote speakers, Erik Wahl and Karl Schoemer.

2014 will mark BakingTech’s last year at the Marriot Downtown Magnificent Mile. The annual event will take place at the Chicago Hilton in 2015.
