Dr Martin Chadwick, the Chief Allied Health Professions Officer with the Ministry of Health, New Zealand, is currently working with a small group of stakeholders from the sector to address training requirements and workforce issues facing New Zealand sonographers.
We will continue to keep you updated as more plans and information are available.

Even if you can only attend one day of the WFUMB 2019 Congress this September, the CPD points for one day registerations have now been released. Check out the program to plan the right day for you to register. The daily CPD allocation is:

Friday 6 Sept - 5.25 CPD points (also register for the Welcome Reception)

Perceptions of transabdominal cervical length images survey
|
|
|
Do you perform or report obstetric ultrasound? Please support this current PhD research into “State wide implementation of cervical length screening for the prevention of preterm birth” by completing the survey. It should not take more than 10 minutes.
This survey is looking at the perception of imaging providers and consists of 50 transabdominal images of the maternal cervix.

Diagnostic assessment in cardiac sonography - online study
|
|
|
You are invited to participate in an online study being conducted by Macquarie University examining factors that are associated with diagnostic assessment in cardiac sonography, as well as visual working memory. If you decide to participate the study will take no longer than 30 minutes and you will go into the draw to win an iPad. Participation is voluntary and all information is kept anonymous and confidential. No information regarding study participation or study results are shared back into your organisation.

This research project is supported by the ASAR. CPD points (0.5) can be claimed under Category 4. On study completion, Dr Ann Carrigan will send out a certificate.
Eligibility Requirements: Participants can be either a student or qualified cardiac sonographer.
