New MHPN veteran-focussed networksMHPN has collaborated with organisations and practitioners with an interest in veterans mental health, to establish a number of veteran-focussed networks across Australia. Find your closest veteran network and register to be invited to the next meeting. Supporting the coordination of mental health services for veteransLe Le is the Network Coordinator of MHPN’s new Brisbane Veteran-Focussed Network. She worked as a fly-in fly-out psychologist with the Australian Defence Force for two years, before moving back to private practice. Brisbane has many services supporting the mental health of veterans, but she noticed that they weren’t working as effectively with one another as they could be. “There was a level of excitement after our first meeting, as practitioners realised the potential impact that meetings will have on service coordination, and the flow on affect this will have on the mental health of veterans and their families,” Le Le said.
