							Upcoming Events in Sexual Medicine
What do transgender and non-binary youth think about sex education? And what would they recommend in a comprehensive sex education program?
New research in the Journal of Sexual Medicine investigates these questions.
Researchers interviewed 11 transgender and non-binary youth, 5 parents, and 5 healthcare affiliates to learn more about sex education experiences and content.
Participants described what they thought is lacking in current youth sex education and what they would like to see included.
Several themes emerged, including consent and relationships, prevention of sexually transmitted infections, puberty-related gender dysphoria, and gender-affirming interventions.
Click here to find out what the participants recommended.
