Celebrating Open Access Week (October 21-27)
If you have been thinking about making your work open access there has never been a better time to get started. From Monday 21 October, be one of the first 50 people to upload your author accepted manuscript into Aurora and receive a celebratory chocolate gift! Invitation to join consultation register – Access to Biological Resources permits
People with an interest in conservation and management of genetic resources are invited to join the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Energy consultation register for Access to Biological Resources Permits. Once on the register you will be invited to comment on any permit application which might be likely to result in a more than negligible environmental impact. Further information.

National Institutes of Health (NIH): Notices of Special Interest 
The NIH has released Notices of Special Interest for applicants intending to apply for funding with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), or the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). Read the full article for details of topics of interest.

ARC Future Fellowships (FT20) Grant Application Workshops/Clinics
The Research Grants Unit (RGU) is offering a number of grant application workshops in October that will step applicants through the ARC FT20 application form and provide explicit advice and guidance on how each section should be completed.

Preparing your Research Data Management Plan - Waite
Presented at the Waite Campus, this session will step you through the process of creating and finalising a research data management plan. Experts from the library, ITDS research support, and Adelaide Enterprise will be on hand to provide advice and assistance, from data storage options to IP considerations.
