Sydney Film Festival Program


The Sydney Film Festival Official Program has been released and tickets are now on sale. Many sessions will sell out, so here are a few picks to get your started - Being Venice features Sydney as a brightly textured backgrop to a father-daughter tale. Filmmakers will be interested in the documentary Side by Side produced by Keanu Reeves about the huge transition that cinema is currently going through. Pencil Sunday 17th June in to your festival diary for the panel discussion featuring the diverse group of Dendy Awards finalists sharing their experiences and discussing current trends at the vanguard of Australia's short-film industry, presented by Metro Screen. Watch the trailer for Tabu it's absolutely stunning and last but not least how can you go past Mabo, Moonrise Kingdom and the fun times planned for the festival Hub. Sydney Film Festival runs 6 – 17 June.

Through a series of exercises and hypothetical scenarios the course is designed to make you more informed, understanding and culturally aware.

Camera Essentials 2 June

Camera Essentials is the perfect introductory practical course for basic camera operation and cinematography  techniques.  In order to maximise hands-on experience the class is limited to 12 participants.

Multiplatform Techniques 12 June – 17 July

Learn techniques for producing multiplatform content including: building a strong following on social media sites, blogging to gain subscription and tips to promote views of your content online.

Music Video Making Intensive 18 – 24 June

An exciting, fun and fast paced practical course where you create a music video. By the end of the course each participant has a music video clip to add to their showreel.
