Fremantle Orthotic Services (FOS) will be operating their clinic services once a month from the centre from February 18, led by Alan Crumlin and his associate Emily Harrison. Alan has been a Prosthetist at FOS Prosthetics & Orthotics since 2006 making monthly visits to Albany from Perth to provide prosthetic services to the local and surrounding communities. Alan specialises in Upper and Lower Limb Prosthetics and is a certified Prosthetist and Licentiate Prosthetist from The British Institute of Surgical Technologies. Emily has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Prosthetics and Orthotics and has nearly 14 years experience in the industry. Twelve of those years were spent working at the Portsmouth Enablement Centre in England. Emily has worked with a significant number of war veterans and Paralympians during the London 2012 Paralympics. Any patients covered under approved disability schemes will NOT have to pay a consulting fee. FOS are approved providers with the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme), WANDIS (WA National Disability Insurance Scheme), WALSA (WA Limb Service for Amputees), DVA (Department of Veteran Affairs) and ICWA (Insurance Commission WA).
