As stated in the annual letter its Chairman & CEO Larry Fink sends to the CEOs of the companies in which it invests on behalf of its clients: sustainability, and climate change in particular, are poised to transform investing. BlackRock is making sustainability its new standard in the way it will manage risk, construct portfolios, design products and engage with companies.… THE CASE FOR REBOOTING YOUR CIP The start of a new year is always a good opportunity to take stock and reconsider, as you look forward to the year ahead. At the beginning of this new decade, there is a particularly strong case for revisiting your centralised investment proposition (CIP) if you haven’t done so for a while. Or, if your firm does not have a CIP, consider incorporating one.… Investing is risky. Anyone who says otherwise is mistaken. Unfortunately, many discovered a new risk during 2019 - liquidity risk - the inability to access assets when desired. It’s worth considering following these golden rules...
