Resources aimed at enabling community teams to manage the increasing demand for insulin administration have been released by NHS England. The ‘Delegation of Insulin Administration’ project was published to help provide a voluntary framework giving expanded capacity to health and social care workers who administer insulin to people living with diabetes. A series of resources were produced by Trend Diabetes for the project, including an e-learning module, policies and a competency framework, with other organisations also contributing to the initiative.
