Currently showing at the American Folk Art Museum until November 30, is the first US exhibition of Dutch artist Willem Van Genk (1927–2005), one of the most renowned figures within the European art brut pantheon.

Sixty-three works are shown including large-scale paintings, drawings, collages, sculptures of trolley buses, and the artist’s collection of raincoats.

Part of the series Sous le vent de l’art brut, the De Stadshof Collection is currently being shown at Halle Saint Pierre until January 4, 2015, with 350 works by 40 artists. Artists include Willem van Genk, Michel Nedjar, A.C.M., Johann Garber, Martha Grunenwaldt, Donald Pass and Christine Sefolosha.

On show at London's The Horse Hospital from October 4, is the first public presentation of Daniel S Christiansen’s extraordinary box. Saved from the detritus of a basement clearance in Asheville, North Carolina, the handmade wooden box contains 100 pages of extraordinary and evocative artefacts created between 1930s and the 1980s, including hand-drawn maps, detailed technical drawings of possible alien craft mechanical components and essays.
